Always sensitive to ethical and social issues and actively committed to supporting a more inclusive society, without barriers of age, sex or race, Desio, an Italian brand of colored contact lenses, on the market since 2011, joins women in the battle against breast cancer.
The brand, which last year granted an important donation to the Lombardy Region to fight Covid19 and which over time has supported various charities, such as Terres des Hommes and Sightsavers, an international organization that has been fighting avoidable blindness since 1950 in the poorest countries in the world, this year has chosen to support the Breast Cancer Foundation.
The BCRF is the non-profit organization that is committed to raising funds and financing research against breast cancer that affects 1 in 8 women worldwide every year.
With various supporting initiatives and with the Pink Ribbon campaign, grown from an idea of Evelyn Lauder in the USA and then exported all over the world, the Breast Cancer Foundation raises awareness among women on the importance of prevention in the fight against cancer.
A commitment also shared by Desio, who has chosen to actively participate in the Breast Cancer Campaign by donating part of the profits from online sales to the Foundation.
The iconic pink ribbon, a worldwide symbol of the fight against breast cancer, will also become part of the Desio world, which in February, August and October, the company will present its famous boxes of colored lenses in pink and advertise the initiative with an important press campaign entitled:
“BECAUSE NO ONE SHOULD FIGHT ALONE”

In the months of October, February and August the iconic Desio color contact lenses boxes will be presented in Pink and the company will be donating 5% of online sales to #BCRF
